PESÄ (‘nest’ in Finnish) is an art group
which is active in the Netherlands. It consists of professional artists who are
either of Finnish origin or have some other relation with Finland. Most of the
members live in the Netherlands, but there are also members living in other
countries.
A large variety of art is represented in PESÄ; there are sculptors, ceramists, a bookbinder, painters, a weaver etc. etc. Even music in opening festivities of PESÄ exhibitions can be performed by PESÄ’s own members. PESÄ members get together in informal meetings several times a year and organize one exhibition per year together, every time striving to find a very special location.
